Absolutely, the best Tex-mex style food I've had in years! Everything was fresh & authentic! My wife and I are amateur foodies at best! But we know good and this place is fresh & wonderful.

This is a clean restaurant with a family atmosphere. Limited parking in the front, due to the location. That was okay as we needed to walk off what we ate. The staff was prompt and attentive. The menu has a nice selection of entrees which were reasonably priced. My husband ordered the Chili Colorado, and I had the Texas Fajita. Everything was appealing to the eye and had good flavor. The chicken tasted a little refrigerator burned. I got a kick out of my husband's beverage. We will dine here again.

I had the Quesadilla Deluxe and it was really delicious! It was a bit too rich for my taste because of all the cheese, but still very satisfying. The Tex-Mex fajitas were great too. And honestly, the chips and salsa they serve before the meal were amazing, super fresh and crispy, I couldn’t stop eating them! If the owner happens to see this, I’d love to respectfully offer a small suggestion—not criticism at all, just an idea that came to mind while I was enjoying the food If you could serve a small side of fresh sliced jalapeños lightly marinated with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon, kind of like a refreshing pickle or a spicy korean kimchi, it might help cut through the richness and add a really nice balance to the dishes. Everything was already great, but I thought it could be a nice touch!

We had the restaurant to ourselves. A high school kid waited on us; he was super chill and sweet! Everything he recommended was awesome. Drinks were decently priced and delicious. We came in after 2pm and had the whole place to ourselves!

This restaurant sits beside Johnny's Pizza. Google Maps has it on NORTH 3rd Avenue a couple blocks away. Family owned and operated. La Familia Restaurant was a nice stop on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was all smiles and very helpful. They all pitched in and helped each other when needed. They have a small bar with two tvs. And some festive music playing in the background. The menu prices are great!! The small cheese dip was only $4, and it was the size of large cheese dips in other Mexican restaurants in the area. I had the steak ranchero special. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. If you're driving by looking for a bite to eat, stop by, and you won't regret it!

Lunch today was delicious. We started with La Familia cheese dip( ground beef with pico de gallo). We had quesa birra tacos and Al Pastor tacos, served withrice and delicious sauces. Both were super tasty. We will go back and try other interesting looking dishes. Edit- we made a second trip, a week later. We had adult beverages, a Margarita and dark Dos Equis. The Margarita was delicious. We also ordered guacamole and cheese dip. We split an order of La Chicimeca, dish with steak, chicken, shrimp and chorizo with onions and mushrooms. This dish was served with rice and beans. Everything was delicious again.

Unreal flavor with the food!! Real Margaritas not that water down type of Margarita that all the other places in this area have. So friendly and happy to serve you. Didn’t make us feel rushed like other places… A+++ Mexican Restaurant!!
